I hear all the time that it is just too expensive and just too time consuming to make a green drink. This is one of the most frustrating things to hear, it takes everything I have not to say REALLY? How much do you spend on Starbucks? Or fast food? How much time to spend in the line to get it?
So I decided to put that to the test. I calculated how much it costs and how much time it REALLY takes.
It's roughly the same as a Starbucks drink and about the same amount of time you would spend in line to get it. Every ingredient here came to a total of $5.15 per drink. You could always cut corners if you needed to or eliminate some of these ingredients, these are just the ingredients I prefer.
From the time I get out the blender until it is cleaned and put back it only took 5 minutes. SIX. That is nothing. I often make it while I'm waiting on my coffee.
So next time you think it's too much money or too time consuming be honest with your self, is that an excuse?
Since this is the drink sooooo many people ask me about, I have the recipe below. I usally do all organic, but had to get some non organic this time, but it's absolutely my favorite!! So yummy. I can definitely tell a difference in how I feel if I don't drink it that day. So for about $5 a day you get tons of nutrition and health benefits, I don't think your coffee and fast food are doing that.
